Subject: What's the best anti-spyware to use? Sat Nov 21, 2009 7:51 am
List two types, plz.
The best downloadable free spyware.
And the best if you buy it.
I want something that works well and auto-updates, etc.
I run McAfee and am poking about in it right now.
EDIT: Ran McAfee maintenance cleaner process...using "shredder" right now to clean & delete...but it says 7 files can't be deleted using the shredder. What's that mean?

when the shredder cant delete it.. it means its a system file.. u'll probably need to turn off system restore, restart the pc in safe mode.. and try again

ah ok, thanx. It's something I need to get rid of then?
the Mcafee got rid of a lot of temp files, etc, cleaned the registry...if i clean the cookies, do they all get deleted or just bad cookies like spyware, etc?
and yes i mean anti-spywear lol

yeh.. clearing cookies gets rid of all of them

no, norton is to resource hungry and slows a pc down!
